Field of application :

It is a coded magnetic sensor using our ACOTOM2AA process that detects the opening of mobile guards giving access to hazardous areas and keeps them magnetically closed. An opening/closing handle mounted on the transmitter is available as an option. The housings are made of 316L stainless steel for use in the food industry without compromise. When the transmitter is presented in front of the receiver, both semiconductor contacts close while the auxiliary contact opens. When the transmitter is no longer present then the safety contacts open and the auxiliary contact sends the supply voltage. For use in machine safety, this product must be connected to the AWAX Safety Relay.

Operation (cable outlet) :

This product is powered in 24 VDC by the AWAX box in order to comply with the ISO13849-1 standard. When the transmitter and receiver targets are aligned, the lines (red/black) and (orange/grey) are closed. The auxiliary static contact (white) opens. The separation of the two elements causes the opening of the two safety lines and the closing of the auxiliary line, thus signaling the fault to the AWAX mismatch controller. If a PLC is used, connect its input to the white wire. This type of sensor works at the transmitter/receiver contact in order to get the maximum magnetic holding.
